What we build
Construction services
Both. Our team covers feasibility, architectural design, structural and civil engineering, permitting, and construction, so a project can stay under one accountable roof from first sketch to final handover.
Yes. We take renovations, extensions and retrofits, including structural strengthening and electrical upgrades, alongside new construction.
We operate from offices in Douala and Yaoundé and deliver projects across the Littoral, Centre and wider Cameroon. For sites outside these regions we assess access and logistics during the brief.
Accountability
OHADA compliance
OHADA is the uniform business law system adopted by Cameroon and member states. Echo Constructions keeps its contracts, accounting and reporting aligned with OHADA standards, so your project records are audit-ready and legally sound.
Yes. Our finance team prepares financial statements in accordance with OHADA standards, covering daily financial operations, site cash management and period reporting.
Contracts, purchase orders and invoices are drawn up to respect OHADA commercial law, with clear scope, parties and payment terms so records are consistent for tax and audit purposes.
We prepare and retain the drawings, structural notes and compliance records needed for municipal permits and inspections, and hand them over at project close-out.
How billing works
Payment terms
After the brief and a site visit we issue a fixed quotation split into design, enabling works and construction phases. Prices are itemised so you can see materials, labour, equipment and overheads separately.
A typical schedule is a mobilisation advance, then milestone payments tied to completed stages (foundation, structure, finishes, handover). Each milestone is invoiced only after it is verified on site.
Bank transfer to our OHADA-registered company account, and mobile money for approved advances. All payments are recorded against the project and reconciled in our financial statements.
Yes. A retention of five per cent is held from each milestone and released at the end of the defects-liability period, giving you security while defects are put right.
From brief to handover
Project timelines
A standard single-family home runs from roughly six to nine months after breaking ground, depending on size, site conditions and finishes. Design and permitting add four to eight weeks before that.
Offices and commercial buildings usually take nine to eighteen months. Roads, bridges and waterway works depend on length, terrain and weather, so we give a programme with key milestones during the brief.
We plan with a milestone programme, hold weekly site coordination, and track progress against the programme so delays surface early. You receive regular updates with what is done, what is next and any risks.
Rain seasons, material supply and permit lead times are the usual causes. We sequence weather-sensitive work, order long-lead items early, and keep buffer in the programme so the handover date stays protected.
